Preview: Oskaloosa Bears vs. McLouth Bulldogs
The Oskaloosa Bears will head out on the road to face off against the McLouth Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Oskaloosa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Last Friday, it was close, but Oskaloosa sidestepped Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy for a 52-50 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oskaloosa.
Trenten VanHoutan was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The contest was VanHoutan's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Coy Perry, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, McLouth came up short against Valley Falls on Friday and fell 58-46. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McLouth in their matchups with Valley Falls: they've now lost six in a row.
Oskaloosa now has a winning record of 2-1. As for McLouth, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Oskaloosa came up short against McLouth when the teams last played back in February, falling 53-43. Can Oskaloosa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
