Softball Recap: Lisbon Falls Short Against Ranked Monmouth Academy

Lisbon faced Monmouth Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Greyhounds came up short against the Mustangs, falling 9-1. The match marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Monmouth Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 1.7, the Bulldogs 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
