Cahokia - Mississippi Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Logan Hicks Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Columbia's Logan Hicks, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Hicks rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Columbia's success: when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Columbia pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Hicks will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Salem on Friday.

Baker Came Up Big in Breese Central's 49-7 Victory
Breese Central picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Preston Baker. Baker was unstoppable, throwing for 173 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
Baker might have his next game, a road matchup with Roxana, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Baker saw the Shells), he threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
