Flag Football Recap: Evans Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Evans's offense. They fell just short of the Grovetown Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Warriors are ranked 19th).

Chloe Crawley threw for 54 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Sadie Morningstar was her top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Grovetown, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Evans will venture away from home to face off against Portal at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grovetown, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-7 victory against Elbert County on the 23rd.
