Volleyball Game Preview: Clovis Cougars vs. Clovis North Broncos

Clovis has gone 8-2 against Clovis North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Clovis Cougars will challenge the Clovis North Broncos at 6:30 p.m. Clovis will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Wednesday, Clovis earned a 3-1 win over Sanger West.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Aiden Insyarath and William Johnson were among the main playmakers for Clovis as the former had ten digs and two aces and the latter had seven digs and three aces. Insyarath has been hot, having also posted 19 or more assists the last seven times he's played. Zavier Delgado Torres also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Clovis North hadn't done well against Buchanan recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Clovis North had just enough and edged out Buchanan 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Broncos sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Clovis North's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Clovis, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything went Clovis' way against Clovis North in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Clovis made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Clovis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clovis North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
