Basketball Recap: North Pontotoc Takes a Loss

North Pontotoc was the 60-32 winner over Corinth when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Friday. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Warriors since Friday.

North Pontotoc has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Corinth, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

North Pontotoc and South Pontotoc will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corinth, they will be home for the holidays to greet Walnut at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
