Soccer Game Preview: Rondout Valley vs. Roosevelt + How To Watch

The Rondout Valley Ganders are taking a road trip to square off against the Roosevelt Presidents at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rondout Valley's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Rondout Valley is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Marlboro Central on Monday. The Ganders and the Dukes finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt fell victim to Our Lady of Lourdes and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Roosevelt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Our Lady of Lourdes are ranked 39th).

Roosevelt has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Rondout Valley's draw makes their record 6-4-1 this season.

Rondout Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in September of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ganders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
