Volleyball Recap: Mt. Carmel Victorious

Mt. Carmel won the last time they faced Robinson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Aces walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Maroons.

Mt. Carmel easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17.

Tenley Davis went supernova, getting nine digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Davis wasn't the only good server: Mt. Carmel was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matches.

Mt. Carmel now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Robinson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.

Mt. Carmel will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibson Southern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Golden Aces surely won't give up without a fight. As for Robinson, they will venture away from home to face off against Oblong at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
