The Wildcats didn't even let the Cardinals on the board, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hayden's victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Washburn Rural, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
