Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walters). They blew past the Waurika Eagles 17-7 on Friday. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Walters has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Waurika, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Walters wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-1 victory against Wilson on the 12th. As for Waurika, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Ringling on the 11th.
