Basketball Recap: South Eugene Takes a Loss

South Eugene lost against Grants Pass back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The South Eugene Axe fell 59-52 to the Grants Pass Cavemen.

South Eugene dropped their record down to 11-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Grants Pass, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Eugene will welcome Willamette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Eugene is facing Willamette at the right time seeing as Willamette is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Grants Pass, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Medford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
