Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Raytown's Winning Streak

Raytown won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Rockhurst Hawklets, falling 66-45. The match marked the Bluejays' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kevin Sullivan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rockhurst, putting up 22 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Callen Eskew, who posted 14 points and three steals.

With the loss, Raytown broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Rockhurst, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Raytown (ranked 14th) will meet Belton (ranked 149th) at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Similarly, Rockhurst (ranked ninth) will meet Belen Jesuit (ranked 190th) at 7:45 p.m. on December 27th.
