Cheyenne Mountain and Fountain-Fort Carson are an even 4-4 against one another since June of 2021, but not for long. The Red-Tailed Hawks will take on the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cheyenne Mountain will be strutting in after a victory while Fountain-Fort Carson will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Cheyenne Mountain made easy work of Sand Creek and carried off a 3-0 win.

Cheyenne Mountain never let Sand Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Fountain-Fort Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Discovery Canyon.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 19-25, 25-16.

Cheyenne Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything went Cheyenne Mountain's way against Fountain-Fort Carson in their previous meeting back in March, as Cheyenne Mountain made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red-Tailed Hawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
