Basketball Recap: Calverton's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern, Calverton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockbridge Academy Scots, sneaking past 37-35. The win was some much needed relief for Calverton as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Calverton's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Rockbridge Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calverton will square off against Avalon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockbridge Academy, they will face off against Maryland School for the Deaf at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Maryland School for the Deaf will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Rockbridge Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
