Volleyball Recap: Catholic - N.I. Falls Short Against Ranked St. Thomas More + How To Watch

Catholic - N.I. faced St. Thomas More in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-12.

Amelie Trappey paced Catholic - N.I.'s offense, picking up six kills. Trappey got some help from Renee Frederick and her 13 assists. Trappey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Thomas More found their leader in sophomore Clare Thomson, who had 11 assists and nine digs.

Catholic - N.I.'s defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for St. Thomas More, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, Catholic - N.I. will square off against Varsity Opponent on Friday. As for St. Thomas More, they will head out on the road to square off against Southside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
