Soccer Game Preview: Parkway vs. Airline

The Parkway Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Airline Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Airline took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Parkway, who comes in off a win.

Parkway will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Thursday, then bounced right back against North DeSoto on Thursday. Parkway put the hurt on North DeSoto with a sharp 5-2 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Airline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-1 to Captain Shreve. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Airline's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-3. As for Parkway, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10-2.

Parkway suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Airline in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Parkway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
