Basketball Recap: Groom Gets the Win

While Groom didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past the Claude Mustangs 43-40. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Groom has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Claude, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Groom will finish 2024 at home by hosting Paducah at 10:00 a.m. on December 30th. As for Claude, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Texas at 12:15 p.m. on December 31st.
