            Baseball Recap: Portsmouth Patriots vs. North Kingstown Skippers        
        
		
        
        
            Portsmouth was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They came up short against  the North Kingstown Skippers, falling  10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the  6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.
 Portsmouth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Damon Owen, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases.
Portsmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Kingstown, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Portsmouth will  challenge  rival La Salle Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Kingstown is set to  take on  their familiar foe Moses Brown  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
