Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Florida Baptist Academy). They put the hurt on the East Hill Christian Eagles with a sharp 21-4 win on Friday. The Conquerors have beaten the Eagles the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Will Beard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Beard was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.

In other batting news, Trey Hughes was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. Jackson Fischer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

West Florida Baptist Academy's record is now 4-8. As for East Hill Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

As for East Hill Christian, they will square off against Central Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
