Soccer Recap: Pike Central Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Pike Central kept a clean sheet against Mt. Vernon on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Saturday.

Braxton Maxey and Deacon Jenkins scored both of Pike Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

The win (which was Pike Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matchups. As for Mt. Vernon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
