Baseball Recap: Maywood Academy Gets the Win

Maywood Academy won the last time they faced Los Angeles Leadership Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Maywood Academy Nighthawks walked away with a 16-11 victory over the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions.

Matthew Hernandez was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Hernandez was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ricardo Urbina, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Angel Orozco was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
