Basketball Game Preview: Westfield Shamrocks vs. Fishers Tigers

Westfield is on a 19-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Fishers is on a six-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Westfield Shamrocks will welcome the Fishers Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Westfield is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Avon just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between them and the Orioles didn't end well, with Westfield falling 55-39. The match marked the Shamrocks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Durante Morton, who posted ten points and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in February of 2024. Brock Detamore was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Fishers humbled Carmel with an 80-39 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Fishers' victory bumped their record up to 18-0. As for Westfield, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.
