North Smithfield has no trouble against Hope

The North Smithfield Northmen put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 35-19 win over Hope. That 35-19 margin sets a new team best for North Smithfield this season.

North Smithfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mya Silveira, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Murray, who scored eight points.

When it comes to explaining why Hope lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sa-moni McKay. Despite the final result, she scored ten points. McKay scored a full 52.6% of Hope's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

North Smithfield's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hope, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Smithfield will take on Pilgrim at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Hope, they will look to defend their home court on January 5th against Davies Career & Tech at 6:00 p.m.
