Baseball Recap: Second Baptist Comes Up Short

Second Baptist has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Second Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 18-2. As for Lutheran South Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-2-1 record this season.

Second Baptist and Lutheran South Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps National Rankings. The Eagles will take on Emery/Weiner at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (10 vs. 594). Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy (ranked third) will meet Fort Bend Christian Academy (ranked 249th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
