Volleyball Recap: La Mirada Comes Up Short

La Mirada lost against Norwalk back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Matadores fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 3-2.

La Mirada started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 18-25, 25-19, 25-19, 15-4.

La Mirada has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Norwalk, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. La Mirada will take on rival Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Norwalk is set to challenge their familiar foe Dominguez at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
