Heights was forced to take a big defeat against they on Wednesday, they got the better of them on Wednesday. They blew past the South Titans 17-5. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight games by 12 runs or more so far this season.
Hayden Wettstein and Jaeda Wilson did most of the damage at the plate: Wettstein went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Wilson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ellie Wilkins, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Heights pushed their record up to 8-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
