Baseball Recap: Seton Takes a Loss

Seton was the 17-3 winner over Quantico when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Conquistadors fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6 on Thursday.

Bruce Hudak made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Simon Chahine was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Seton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Quantico, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton will challenge Randolph-Macon Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Conquistadors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Quantico, they will square off against Front Royal HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Flames at the right time seeing as the Flames are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
