Jones Made His Presence Known in Marion's 38-7 Win

Starting off the list is Marion's Timotheus Jones, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jones rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The win got Marion back to even at 4-4. Jones and Marion will head out to challenge Anderson on Friday.

Antwoine Richmond's big game helped extend Lafayette Jefferson's winning streak to eight on Friday. Richmond made eight total tackles and defended a pass, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.

Lafayette Jefferson's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Richmond and Lafayette Jefferson will venture away from home to take on McCutcheon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Keyen Crowder Delivers Electric Performance Vs Harrison

Keyen Crowder's big game helped extend Lafayette Jefferson's winning streak to eight on Friday. Crowder did his part (and then some), throwing for 323 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards for the 'W'. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

For the season, Crowder has thrown 28 touchdowns while averaging 247.8 passing yards per game.
