Softball Recap: Tyler Legacy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Tyler Legacy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the North Forney Falcons by a score of 6-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Aubrie Kirk spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on ReNaa Hicks, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Tyler Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for North Forney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11-1 record this season.

Tyler Legacy will challenge Royse City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royse City's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Tyler Legacy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Forney, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when North Forney Falcons challenge Rockwall-Heath Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
