Basketball Recap: Lakewood Ranch Takes a Loss

Lakewood Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt an 83-30 defeat at the hands of the Palmetto Tigers. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lakewood Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Palmetto, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Lakewood Ranch will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sarasota Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Palmetto and Sarasota will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sarasota's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
