Soccer Recap: Morgan Township's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against South Bend Washington on Monday, Morgan Township came back down to earth. The Cherokees took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marquette Catholic Blazers on Wednesday. The loss put an end to Morgan Township's undefeated start to the season.

Marshall Craigin and Lincoln Riley scored both of Morgan Township's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Morgan Township fell to 3-1. As for Marquette Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morgan Township will challenge Hobart at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Morgan Township are facing Hobart at the right time seeing as Hobart are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Marquette Catholic, they will take on East Chicago Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
