Volleyball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Dixie Flyers

The Pine View Panthers will face off against the Dixie Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pine View is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Snow Canyon just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

Pine View started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Dixie didn't have quite enough to beat Cedar on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Flyers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Reds 25-17 in the first set.

Dixie wouldn't go down easily and took Cedar into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-18, 19-25, 15-12.

Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
