Soccer Recap: West Point Takes a Loss

West Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Apollo Hawks, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Hawks are ranked 38th).

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Apollo, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-3.

West Point will head out on the road to face off against Shadow Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Shadow Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Apollo, they will challenge Valley Vista at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Apollo is facing Valley Vista at the right time seeing as Valley Vista is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
