Chatham has gone 9-1 against Taconic Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will take on the Titans at 4:30 p.m. Chatham is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Thursday, Chatham beat Albany 7-2.
Kiah Pinto made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Pinto was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen Wilber, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Steltz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Taconic Hills waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bombers. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.
Like Chatham, Taconic Hills also got a great game from a two-way player: Tristan Super. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Super has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Taconic Hills is undefeated when Super posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
In other batting news, Francis Conners-Schmid was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jacob Alvarez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Chatham's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Taconic Hills, their record is now 7-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Chatham has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Taconic Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Chatham came out on top in a nail-biter against Taconic Hills in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
