Soccer Game Preview: Gray Collegiate Academy vs. North Augusta

The Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles will challenge the North Augusta Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North Augusta will be up against a hot Gray Collegiate Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Gray Collegiate Academy blew past Midland Valley 4-1 on Monday. The score was close at the half, but the War Eagles pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Midland Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tanner Legette (2), David Andrade, and Maddox Nettles.

Meanwhile, everything went North Augusta's way against Gilbert on Tuesday as North Augusta made off with a 6-1 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

North Augusta has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matches. Gray Collegiate Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
