Basketball Recap: Brandeis Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Brandeis won the last time they faced Clark, and Abigail Burdette did her part to make sure it happened again. The Brandeis Broncos came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clark Cougars on Friday, sneaking past 50-47 thanks in part to Burdette, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and six boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Mia Ramos was another key player, putting up six points and five steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played.

Brandeis is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for Clark, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Brandeis and Clark should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Brandeis will square off against Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 678 places (254 vs. 932). Similarly, Clark (ranked 226th) will meet SA Roosevelt (ranked 831st) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
