Football Recap: Macon Takes a Loss

Macon played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 50-13 loss at the hands of the Centralia Panthers. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centralia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyson Bryson, who rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Bryson's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Rex Bryson, who rushed for 61 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

Macon now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Centralia, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Macon will head out to face off against Clark County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Centralia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
