Baseball Game Preview: Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns vs. Liberty Panthers

For the second straight game, Hamshire-Fannett will face off against Liberty. Hamshire-Fannett will challenge Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hamshire-Fannett has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Liberty will arrive with four straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hamshire-Fannett's offense. They lost 11-0 to Liberty on Tuesday.

For Liberty's part, they got a great performance from Logan Ross as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Ross has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chris Hebert was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Grahm Pavliska, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamshire-Fannett only posted an OBP of .188.

Hamshire-Fannett's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 11-8-1.
