Soccer Recap: St. Petersburg Find Success

St. Petersburg had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Northeast Vikings a 1-0 shutout on Monday. The Green Devils' winning goal came courtesy of Cameron Lehtovirta.

St. Petersburg's victory bumped their record up to 11-2-1. As for Northeast, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7-3 record this season.

St. Petersburg will venture away from home to challenge Osceola at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Osceola will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something St. Petersburg surely won't give up without a fight. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
