Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Merced

Merced hadn't done well against Atwater recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Merced Bears took down the Atwater Falcons 55-37. The win was familiar territory for the Bears who have now won three games in a row.

Merced's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Matsuo, who posted 13 points. Matsuo has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Nicholas Adams was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Merced has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Atwater, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-4.
