Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Regis Jesuit

Regis Jesuit barely beat Heritage the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders didn't even let the Eagles on the board on Thursday, marking the Raiders' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Regis Jesuit got a great performance from Michael Kroll as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Gavin Cronin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Christian Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Regis Jesuit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.

Regis Jesuit pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Coming up, Regis Jesuit will take on Pine Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
