Baseball Game Preview: Los Altos Conquerors vs. Woodbridge Warriors

The Los Altos Conquerors will head out to challenge the Woodbridge Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Los Altos is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Friday just wasn't the day for Los Altos' offense. They fell 4-0 to South Hills on Friday.

Either Diaz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

University typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Woodbridge proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trojans 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Kyle Underwood tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Woodbridge's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Stottlemyer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Woodbridge's record is now 16-7. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1.
