Basketball Recap: Onsted Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Onsted). They blew past the Blissfield Royals, posting an 88-45 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Onsted's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JT Hill, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Hill a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Collin Gerken, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 15 points.

Hill wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Onsted was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.1 points. As for Blissfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Onsted and Eaton Rapids will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Blissfield, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kensington Woods at 7:00 p.m. on December 31st.
