Softball Recap: West Bladen's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

West Bladen and Bunn squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Bladen had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-3. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

West Bladen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kali Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Allen is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another was Addison Wilcox, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

West Bladen's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Bunn, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

West Bladen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bunn, they will face off against Farmville Central on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.4, the Jaguars 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
