Baseball Game Preview: North Putnam Cougars vs. Western Boone Stars

The North Putnam Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Western Boone Stars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. North Putnam is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

North Putnam fell victim to Edgewood and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Western Boone's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Tri-West Hendricks by a score of 2-1.

Western Boone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Mallory, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

North Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Western Boone, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.
