Woodhaven put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout  on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Kettering Captains  a   17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 13 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Gracie Dixon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  double. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Mia Taylor was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Aubriana Perez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Woodhaven  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .774. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Woodhaven has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Kettering,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-7.
 Looking ahead, Woodhaven will challenge Lincoln Park at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Kettering, they will take on West Bloomfield at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Captains are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
