Volleyball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

While East was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23.

Claire Buss paced East's offense, picking up nine kills. Buss got some help from Birdie Buell and her 16 assists.

East's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-10.

Coincidentally, East and Kapaun Mt. Carmel will both be playing South the next time they take the court. The Aces will head out to face the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
