Softball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Has No Trouble Against Little Chute

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Notre Dame Academy walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Little Chute Mustangs on Thursday. The Tritons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ella Nowak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Maisie Hinz and Madison Siminski did most of the damage at the plate: Hinz went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Siminski went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Hinz has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Waldrop, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Notre Dame Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Little Chute, they dropped their record down to 1-21 with the loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Notre Dame Academy nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
