Soccer Recap: Incarnate Word Comes Up Short

Incarnate Word was the 4-2 winner over Veterans Memorial when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Incarnate Word Shamrocks fell just short of the Veterans Memorial Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Incarnate Word's goal came courtesy of Analisa Menchaca, who's now up to 11 this season.

Incarnate Word now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Veterans Memorial, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Incarnate Word will welcome TMI-Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Veterans Memorial, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Waller at 10:00 a.m.
