Softball Recap: Corydon Central Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silver Creek, Corydon Central was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Perry Central Commodores by a score of 7-2. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Addyson Branham was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Addyson Leonard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

With the win, Corydon Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Perry Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corydon Central will take on Charlestown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry Central, they will challenge Orleans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
